Auditioning for the Orchestra
The Neponset Valley Philharmonic is a Professional Development Orchestra serving aspiring orchestral musicians in the Greater Boston area. The NVPO provides concert performance opportunities for both full orchestra and chamber ensembles. Auditions are open to young professional musicians under 35 years old. A masters degree is preferred.
The current base pay for the orchestra averages $70 per rehearsal service, depending on the length, and $90 per concert service. Principals are paid a 25% premium and all musicians are paid on a per service basis.
