In another first for Foxboro Cable Access, volunteers tested their limits by taping the inaugural concert of the Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra at the new Showcase Live! Theater at Patriot Place in Foxboro on Sunday, October 5th. Both the venue and the orchestra were new to the area and also to Foxboro Cable Access, posing a unique challenge for the producer and crew. <\/em><\/font><\/p>\n\n

An orchestra is growing in our back yard. Today I attended a concert by the Neponset Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, a young group comprised mainly of recent conservatory graduates which has served the Neponset Valley area for the past 2 years. By the end of the afternoon, it was clear this is an ensemble is in a strong position to enjoy a vibrant future.\n<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n\n

Markus Placci, 27, was the NVPO’s premier soloist for the NVPO’s debut and Placci’s performance was stellar. Lasting nearly 30 minutes, Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin in E minor was performed with precision by Placci, and the audience was entranced.<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n
